From April 27 to 30, the Faculty of Public Accounting and Administration of UANL became a meeting point for ideas, talent, and a forward-looking vision during Innovation Week FACPYA UANL 2026, a hybrid event dedicated to boosting innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation, with a special focus on Smart Cities and the 2026 World Cup.
In this context, one of the most significant moments took place on Wednesday, April 29, when Don Gustavo M. de la Garza Ortega delivered the keynote talk “Innovation Through Time” before more than 800 students gathered at the Gumersindo Cantú Hinojosa Auditorium.
Beyond sharing milestones from his career, his message resonated as an invitation to look to the future with curiosity, discipline, and vision. Through anecdotes and lessons from the telecommunications world, he conveyed the importance of constantly evolving in an industry that never stops transforming.
As part of this experience, attendees were also able to get closer to MUTEL, the first virtual telecommunications museum in Mexico, which presented a special exhibition in the lobby of the venue, sparking interest in the history and future of the sector.
This participation was made possible thanks to the invitation of FACPYA authorities, in coordination with Aldhair Caballero Campbell, Secretary of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and with the presence of the executive leadership headed by the Director, Dr. Adriana Garza Elizondo.
Being part of these spaces reaffirms the commitment to continue building bridges between experience and new generations, fostering ideas that inspire today and transform tomorrow.
