Birthday Celebration of Don Gustavo M. de la Garza Ortega
This past July 7th, in an intimate yet deeply meaningful gesture, Vívaro collaborators gathered at the offices to celebrate the 88th birthday of Don Gustavo M. de la Garza Ortega, president and founder of the organization.
The occasion was simple: a cake, a few heartfelt words, and the close presence of those who, day by day, bring to life the vision he planted decades ago. But within that simplicity lay something far deeper: the respect, admiration, and affection for a man whose journey has left a mark not only on the history of telecommunications in Mexico but also on the lives of those around him.
Don Gustavo, with his characteristic warmth and humility, thanked everyone with a calm smile. Surrounded by his team, he shared a moment that, though brief, resonated with the strength of a life dedicated to progress, culture, education, and service.
Yes, it was another birthday. But it was also an opportunity to recognize the human being behind the legacy: the visionary who broke monopolies, the patron who has promoted art and music, the philanthropist who has championed youth, and the leader who, even in everyday moments, continues to inspire.
