This year, the Jorge García Abaroa, A.C. Scholarship, a program that is part of Vívaro Comunidad, directed by Jorge Eugenio de la Garza Flores, will be celebrating its first 25 years supporting the academic preparation of high school and college students.
And as part of the celebration of this anniversary, it will be holding several events. The first of the year was the second edition of Moda con Causa, held on April 3, at the CEIIDA, of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, located in the Mederos Campus.
Hundreds of people responded to the call and, by paying their entrance fee, contributed to continue forging the future of Nuevo León's youth.
Currently, the Jorge García Abaroa Scholarship, A.C., pays the university expenses of 310 students from UANL and Conalep.
Throughout its history, almost 2,000 students have received support from this program and its benefactors.
In this month's event, a total of 60 models paraded in front of the 450 attendees, wearing outfits made by students and former graduates of the Dimoda Burgo Mexico Institute.
The outfits were created by eight designers from this fashion institution.
We are very excited that the Beca Jorge García Abaroa, A.C., founded by our president Don Gustavo M. de la Garza Ortega, continues to call on the generosity of the people of Nuevo León for a better future.
