We see them always busy. Helpful. Dominating each one of the subjects of their management and direction.
They are a silent wall with confidential matters, and they stand out for being highly efficient. And yes, we are talking about the assistants!
In Vivaro we are very proud of our colleagues who perform, with professionalism, those tasks that assist their superiors to the maximum, and they have masterfully adapted to the evolution of their functions.
Until the 90's, the career of Secretary or Executive Assistant had very particular characteristics that nowadays have been adjusted to the labor demands.
Nowadays, there are still prestigious institutions that are in charge of preparing those who become the right arm of managerial or executive level personnel.
Specifically in Monterrey, until the 1990s, there were several institutions that were well known for preparing women who would be in charge of very specific and confidential functions.
But, given the demand and the accelerated pace of growth, the responsibilities were also increasing and now it is very common to know cases of professionals who perform these tasks and many others that require their knowledge.
In those days, it was common to see young ladies going to or entering those schools dressed in executive suits that included stockings and heels. Many of them traveled by public transportation carrying huge mechanical typewriters.
In the classrooms various subjects such as typing, writing, shorthand, accounting, etc. were taught. Subjects that have evolved with technology.
From there, girls emerged who quickly took the letters dictated to them by their bosses through signs and grammars; and they could also transcribe them, extremely fast, on typewriters, using their fingers correctly and without looking at the keyboard.
Today, the work they perform is still very valuable and important; and now those women and men who fully perform these tasks and enrich it with their studies and knowledge of professional careers, such as law, business administration and any other specialty that has to do with the company for which they collaborate, offer a plus.
Their functions are no longer limited to answering and making calls, transcribing dictation, filing papers, serving coffee. Now their tasks have multiplied and that is to be admired.
Today, we would like to recognize the professionalism and dedication of the former and current secretaries; without their support and presence, it would be difficult for our company's growth to move forward.
Happy Assistant's Day!
