Octavio Echeagaray, director of Liga ACE, participated as a speaker at the Nuevo León: Tourism Investment Forum, held at Pabellón M and organized by the Secretaría de Turismo estatal.
The talk was titled 'Esports: The Youth's Spectator Sport', as this demographic has made esports one of its main hobbies.
'Eight out of ten millennials play video games. It's a superior way to relax and pass the time,' Echeagaray explained to the audience.
'It's a superior form of entertainment. It's how young people socialize.'
The executive added that esports are an activity seen across all platforms and reach every corner of the globe.
He also shared the work that ACE does, from its standpoint, for the world; becoming an organizing, producing, and broadcasting company for many of the world's most important events.
'Liga Ace is the gateway to these events. We participate in events worldwide such as Paris, Denmark, São Paulo, and Seattle,' he said.
'This is done in partnership with the game creators. They hire us as their operational and production arm. It's a passion industry, where brands can connect with young audiences,' he commented.
Echeagaray informed that ACE hosts the most important gaming events throughout the continent, from Nuevo León; providing a significant economic boost for the state.
