Attendee questions during Panorama 2023
1.- [Thursday 11:45 a.m.] Belzaeth Solís Villegas: Is the infrastructure used by Vívaro Media for event broadcasting their own or do they use external providers?
Response from Daniel González: Our company has its own equipment. We have sufficient inventory, and we can also access additional resources from third parties according to the needs of each event. This includes the links through which we can establish international connections with dozens of telecommunications companies around the world. The fiber optic infrastructure belongs to Vívaro. For example, during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, we connected more than 50 additional links to our existing setup. In other words, we have made significant investments that are complemented by contracts with third parties.
2.- [Thursday 11:50 a.m.] Adrián Juárez Flores: How many cameras do you install in each stadium?
Response from Rodrigo Peralta: Typically, we have different camera distribution categories or plans. In Peru, for the Copa Libertadores, we used 18 cameras, of which 16 are stationary, one is for aesthetic purposes, and another is on a ‘Dollysport,’ which is a platform that allows the central camera on the field to move very quickly to follow the game’s events. For other sports like basketball, six cameras are required. However, football requires more infrastructure as it operates at a higher competitive level and requires a large-scale production setup.
3.- [Thursday 11:55 a.m.] Roberto Rodríguez: How do the services of Vívaro Media and Vívaro Video interrelate, and what is the technical difference between them?
Vívaro Video’s response (Renata Cuppen): Vívaro Video and Vívaro Media complement each other. One is responsible for the production of live events, while the other handles the international transport of video signals.
Vívaro Video, based in Chile, is a production company that works with both sports and cultural events. For example, Vívaro Video produces events in various sports, such as the professional basketball league in Chile, and professional tennis championships. They also produce cultural events like the Chile Telethon and the Viña del Mar Festival.
Vívaro Video plans the technical coverage and sends specialists and audiovisual equipment, such as cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, and mobile units, from which the signal is sent to television broadcasters for distribution to open or pay-TV systems. In some cases, the signals from all cameras and microphones are transmitted from the stadium to a production center, where Vívaro Video centralizes the production of the matches, adds graphics and replays before sending it to the broadcaster for distribution.
On the other hand, Vívaro Media is in Canada, and provides services to television stations and streaming platforms worldwide. Remember the live event produced by Vívaro Video? Well, Vívaro Media is responsible for delivering the images from the production center to broadcasters around the world, whether through fiber optic, internet, or satellite connections. And it not only transports signals produced by companies like Vívaro Video but also transmits signals from major events like the World Cup and the Olympics to television stations on all continents through its extensive international network. In other words, every goal scored by Lionel Messi is likely to have passed through Vívaro’s infrastructure before being seen in the media.
4.- [Thursday 12:06 p.m.] Mónica Aline Serrano Aguilar: How do you envision the telecommunications, media, and gaming industry landscapes in the coming years?
Response from our Genaral Director: Our vision is long-term. Our companies were founded 60 years ago to provide continuity and meet consumer needs. The planning processes we see in all our business units guide us in determining our direction.
The company was created to fulfill our customers’ needs and to generate employment opportunities for our collaborators. That is what brings us satisfaction, and all our business units are heading in that direction.
5.- [Thursday 12:09 p.m.] Roberto Rodríguez: Speaking of the platform, for example, is Tec Milenio’s platform where teachers and students interact? Could you share with us the success stories and the services that you are adding or working on, in addition to Tenable, to cover security aspects in the Public Cloud environment?
Response from Edgar Cerón: It is not Tec Milenio’s education platform itself. Our solution is delivered through a third party, “One Media.” This solution uses our Online Video Platform (OVP) and web development for Tec Milenio’s important events like https://wellbeing360.mx/. In that case, it centered on conferences about well-being.
6.- [Thursday 12:10 p.m.] Felipe González: Can these cybersecurity solutions be implemented for Fintech and financial institutions?
Response from Alejandro Reiter: The answer is yes. Grupo Financiero BASE is currently a client of ours for certain services. With VALUE, we have presented proposals, and we are already working with a number of Fintech companies and brokerage firms to propose solutions. In terms of cybersecurity, when it comes to the financial sector, it is necessary to comply with the regulations established by associations and authorities. We are currently supporting these financial institutions by conducting vulnerability analyses. An example of this is our work with Bancrea, with whom we’ve participated and successfully conducted these analyses.
7.- [Thursday 12:22 p.m.] Oscar Javier De León Álvarez: Could you share the experience surrounding the Major Counter Strike event?
Response from Octavio Echeagaray: We are very proud of the progress that Vívaro Gaming has been making in recent months. The ACE League was just a glimpse of the monumental work that the company is doing, supporting, and promoting expert talent in the field.
Our goal is to continue leading, leveraging our experience and infrastructure. We reached an audience of over 20 million people worldwide in that event alone. Our company also generated significant economic impact for the tourism sector in Nuevo León, as each of the participating teams stayed in our city for nearly a week.
Independent of all this, we want to acknowledge and thank each and every member of the ACE League staff who transported all the equipment necessary and stayed at the event’s headquarters for several days. We are extremely proud of you all, and are looking forward to the new events you’ll produce and broadcast to the world.
8.- [Thursday 12:23 p.m.] Roberto Rodríguez: Is our ACE League only for competitions, or for example, do we facilitate connectivity for kids who want to play FIFA with each other? Do we enable that transportability?
Response from ACE League (Octavio Echeagaray): In events such as conventions, we do provide spaces for people to engage and experience gaming. In our online communities, we create competitive spaces at multiple levels, ranging from beginners to top players in the world, in some cases.
We also bring the benefits of the gaming industry to companies through leadership activations, training, and team-building. We bring the gaming experience to professionals and workers in Mexico in diverse corporate settings.
9.- [Thursday 12:29 p.m.] Ohtli José Agustín Uribe Barrueta: Do you still follow leagues like Overwatch or the Apex Global Series?
Response from Octavio Echeagaray: It’s very important for us to follow all the official esports leagues, such as Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch, Apex, Fortnite, and CS:GO. It is vital to stay updated on all international, continental, and national competitions. In our case, we focus on Apex and Overwatch. Currently, ACE League is conducting the Online Qualifiers for the Americas for the Overwatch World Cup. Additionally, we organize our own tournaments under ACE League, called “Overwatch Zero Hour,” and in Apex, we have a tournament called “Becoming Legends.”
10.- [Thursday 12:29 p.m.] Jaime Joaquín Loaiza Ramírez: I’ve heard that as Grupo Vívaro, you have successfully organized various events in each of your divisions. Where can we find all this information?
Response from Capital Humano (Guillermo Villaseñor): You can find all the information about Vívaro and its business units, as well as their various activities, through our online magazine, Pixel News (http://pixelnews.vivaro.com/).
11.- [Response from 12:37 p.m.] Roberto Rodríguez: When we talk about Vívaro Construcciones, it seems that we are referring to the development and construction of fiber optic infrastructure. Does it also include commercial and/or industrial developments or investments? Or are we a provider alliance for the migration of fiber parks and their tenants, such as FINSA, etc.?
Response from Jorge De la Garza: We have real estate investments in Mexico and the US. We build fiber infrastructure for businesses and carriers in the following cities: Mexico City, Monterrey, Querétaro, Saltillo, and Toluca, with our own work crews.
12.- [Thursday 12:41 p.m.] Anette Liliana Hernández Dávila: How does the scholarship program work? Who is eligible for it?
Response from Jorge De la Garza: We are supporting undergraduate students at UANL (Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León) and CONALEP (Colegio Nacional de Educación Profesional Técnica) in San Nicolás, Nuevo León, México. Last semester, we benefited 130 UANL students and 85 CONALEP students. To learn more, you can visit the Jorge García Abaroa Scholarship website or social media platforms:

13.- [Thursday 12:52 p.m.] Wendy Madel Garza Ramos: Will Vívaro Video also cover the concert of K-pop group NCT Dream in July?
Response from Vívaro: We currently do not have plans to cover this event. We will keep you informed if there are any updates.
14.- [Thursday 12:58 p.m.] Isaac Alberto Sandoval Chávez: Why “Vívaro”? What does it mean?
Response from Eduardo Zambrano (Communication and Image): It’s a compound word that combines “VIVA,” which means ‘to be alive and in motion,’ and “ARO”, which represents the activity of the word.
15.- [Thursday 12:58 p.m.] Juan Carlos Martínez Encinas: What plans do we have regarding the new technologies like the Metaverse, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT for business and operator solutions?
Response from Edgar Cerón: These are trends that are constantly being evaluated. Currently, we have plans to offer these services with strategic partners. We are already implementing AI solutions, primarily in the business sector, with Chatbot services in the Vívaro Social Media product through various digital channels.
16.- [Thursday 12:59 p.m.] Arely Guadalupe Guzmán Aguilar: What are our strategies as a company to face the challenge around the fall of the US dollar?
Response from David Gurrola: Being in a company with income in different currencies has provided us with stability. We pursue several strategies in response to the strengthening of the exchange rate, such as savings, increasing sales, and converting liabilities into other currencies.
17.- [Thursday 01:01 p.m.] Caleb Marentes Camarillo: Have you considered reevaluating the hybrid work system?
Response from Guillermo Villaseñor: Currently, we are in the process of evaluating roles, operations, and legislation to determine the best approach for potential activities in a hybrid work model.
18.- [Thursday 01:02 p.m.] Itzel Escárcega González: I think we missed discussing the work environment a bit.
Response from Guillermo Villaseñor: We are attentive to the organizational climate and specific situations related to it. We have conducted a group-wide survey to identify the level of engagement of our employees. We also have events such as “El Café de los 15” and “Café of 6” where employees can express their doubts and share comments with the General Management. In cases that warrant it, we have the Transparency Mailbox as a communication channel.
19.- [Thursday 01:02 p.m.] Octavio Martínez Santos: What information can you share regarding profits?
Response from Guillermo Villaseñor: On May 26th, compliance was achieved for all those employees who worked for our company during the 2022 fiscal year. It’s important to note that this applies to our operations in Mexico. Thank you very much for your effort, responsibility, and commitment.
20.- [Thursday 01:04 p.m.] David Israel Navarro Alvarado: Question for Vívaro Digital and Vívaro Media. Do you have plans of venturing into visual services using drones to enhance your services with new technologies, including Artificial Intelligence?
Response from Rodrigo Peralta: We already have drones, including the DJ Inspire 3, one of the most advanced models on the market. Additionally, we are incorporating virtual reality, which enhances graphics during flights.
