Our Growth SDGs: Prime

We will join the Global Compact

Engagement Global Compact, launched in 2000, was created after the appearance of a series of alarming factors that put the well-being of humanity at risk.

Through the pact, the United Nations (UN) calls on companies around the world to collaborate and accelerate progress towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (ODS).

The SDGs were established in 2015 by UN member states, to be part of the 2030 Agenda and to reach the three goals of sustainable development dimensions: economic, social and environmental.

To enter the Global Compact, it is necessary to align the company's initiatives with 10 universal principles, divided into 4 approaches: human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption.

“By joining this global initiative we are participating in a United Nations projectwhere the world's most important companies are present,” shared Ana Cobos, Manager of Corporate Communication and Sustainability at Vívaro.

The success of this vision must be achieved through the integration of sustainability in companies, governments and social organizations. The worldwide impact generated by this movement is so great that business leaders from 162 countries are participating in the Global Compact.

In Mexico, we have more than 900 companies committed to the transformation and, of these organizations, approximately 70 are located in Nuevo León.

"As Grupo Vívaro, by participating in the Global Compact, we agree to make additional efforts in favor of the Sustainable Development Goals and to benefit our planet," added Cobos.

To show the actions carried out by the company, an annual report will be prepared that will function as a progress statement, rendering accounts of compliance for being part of the Global Compact and the construction of an extraordinary world.
