How To Share An Email To Teams From Outlook

Sending an email to Teams from Outlook is very simple. Following these steps, you’ll be able to share a copy of an email (including attachments) to a Teams chat or channel: 

Step 1 

Open the Outlook desktop app and select the message you wish to share. 

Step 2 

Within Teams, click on "Share" located on the ribbon. 

Step 3 

Choose the person, group, or channel you want to share the email with. You can search or select from the set of suggestions. 
  

Step 4 

If you wish, you can add a message or additional information. Likewise, you can use @mentions in Teams messages to get people’s attention to specific information. 

Step 5 

If the email has attachments, they will be automatically included when sending the email to Teams. If you prefer not to include the attachments, you can remove them before sending the email. 

The sent mail will appear in your Teams chat with the recipient.
