Through the pact, the The Jorge García Abaroa A.C Scholarship is an initiative of Don Gustavo M. de la Garza Ortega (Founder & President) created in the year 2000 in gratitude to brother Jorge García Abaroa, who supported him by giving 100% scholarships to his children at a time when he was going through a financial crisis
From this gesture of generosity and after analyzing the educational needs in Mexico, Don Gustavo created the Jorge García Abaroa A.C Scholarship, in order to improve educational quality and reduce school dropout among young people in Mexico.
To this day, more than 1,720 young people have received scholarships. Actually 342 young people are receiving scholarships for their university studies.
Jorge García Abaroa Scholarship mainly supports:
- UANL Foundation
- College of Professional Technical Education of Nuevo León (CONALEP)
- Citizen Education Alliance for Nuevo León, AC
- Students applying for the scholarship.
The Jorge García Abaroa Scholarship is one more example of Vívaro's commitment to the education of young people and to the well-being of our society.
