In 2009, Vívaro (formerly known as Marcatel) created Vívaro Comunidad (formerly known as Marcatel Foundation), a project to accelerate the reach of their social development programs for communities.
Vívaro Comunidad is a non-profit civil association whose main objective is the development of vulnerable communities.
Its objectives are:
- Encourage and promote education, culture and technology among youths.
- Create alliances with and support Education, Art, Culture, Health and Environmental oriented NGOs that develop high value projects and generate a positive impact.
- Promote citizen participation in public interest activities and actions.
- Support communities after natural disasters through citizen participation.
- Improve education, health, and cultural center quality by collaborating on infrastructure and technology betterment.
- Take part in the conservation, recovery and regeneration of the environment.
For 13 years, Vívaro Comunidad has supported multiple communities and plans to continue to do so in the future.
